Original Doodles

Archive for May 2010

After an exciting, exhausting, fun filled trip to Europe I am back home now and back to my normal life. I haven’t yet recovered from my jet lag so new doodles will have to wait until tomorrow at least. Sorry guys. I am just so freakin’ tired.

Hi all,

I wanted to post something before I left for my trip but I just didn’t have the time. Either way, I’m in London right now and it is just fabulous! I could really see myself living in this city. I love pretty much everything about it.Next week we are off to Paris. I’m so excited! I’ll be sure to post up pics when I get back and some European inspired art too but for right now I’m going to have a cup of tea and relax for the rest of the night.

Bye for now

My tiny corner of the internet universe is now slightly over 1 years old and I think this is a good time to reflect on the progress of this little art blog. Well, page views have almost always increased from month to month since I began and I have added book reviews to my semi regular offerings to the internet gods. I have gotten some good feed back from fellow artists and have gotten some shoutouts from other blogs which felt really good. But I want to do more. I want to paint. I want to use pastels. I want to move beyond just writing book reviews. Basically, I want to express myself beyond just pen drawings. But sadly, I tend to have a problem with consistency.  Regular readers have certainly noticed that April was a particularly bad month for posts and my overall page views definitely reflected that. So, I have decided that for the month of May, I will post twice a week (excluding the week of the 13th as I will not be in the country).  Hopefully, I will be able to get my hands on some new art supplies soon so I can start putting my new ideas to paper. Anyways, I am confident that year 2 will see great things for this blog. But for right now I will work on something to post for tonight.
